Le Vibrazioni

While on the subject of music, here is an Italian band that I rate quite highly too. They are called ‘Le Vibrazioni’ and I think they are still around. I guess you could say they are an Italian version of Oasis, although please feel free to disagree with me about this. Anyway, you can hear them and see one of their vids, ‘Dedicato a Te’ courtesy of YouTube: YouTube Preview Image

hmm … song’s pretty good, but not really Oasis style. this is a bit more “pop” than the british band.

don’t really like the musicvideo .. reminds me of Lily allen’s ….LDN video (i think that one – where she walks on the street).

    Sounds ok :)
Do you know if there is an english webzine about the alternative music scene in Italy?

    Hi Nathalie,

Thanks for dropping in. And for reminding me that I should sort out the ability of this site to display YouTube stuff;)

Now, to your question, and the answer is no, but, I’ll hunt around and see what I can find. If you subscribe to the comments on this blog, you should see when and if I’ve managed to find something.

    Interesting question:)

    Kind regards,

    Alex

Nathalie, I have only managed to find Mucchio Selvaggio which is, apparently, the most influential Italian alternative music magazine – but it is in Italian.

I’ll keep hunting for an ezine, but I don’t hold out much hope – Italian music, with a few notable exceptions Zucchero, for example, is not that popular outside of Italy. So the chances of finding something in English are a little slim, I think.

If someone else reads these comments, then may be they can point you in the right direction.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Nathalie,

Try going onto You Tube and searching for ‘musica, alternativa’ and wade through the 900 or so results.

    Happy listening!

    Nathalie,

I have found this site which might interest you:
    http://www1.freewebs.com/imisound/index.htm

It’s by independent Italian musicians and there are band profiles in Italian and English. I found it through Facebook incidentally.

Might be interesting to anyone who wants to know more about the music scene here in Italy.

    All the best,

    Alex
