If there is one special place that is worth devoting a little time to, it is Venice. This glorious city is a must-see if you have never been there before.
Such a special place would be ideal for a long weekend break, and is easily reachable from most parts of Europe, although those from further afield who are coming to Italy would be missing out if they did not make a trip to this facinating place.
Venice is the ideal place to visit if you want to show how much you appreciate that special person in your life. Who knows how many marriage proposals have been made in Cassanova’s city? Or how many honeymoons, both first and second, not to mention countless wedding aniversaries, and birthdays, have been celebrated in this most romantic of romantic locations.
The number must be vast, but no surprise, and once you have been to Venice, you may well find the pleasant memories it will leave will also lead to a definite urge to return. I’ve only been twice, but I would love to go back. I think Venice is my favourite city in Italy, as I have written elsewhere on this blog.

Indeed, this is one of the few places in Venice which has a garden, which is yet another reason for making a booking, I would say. This is also why the Ca’ Nigra caught my little eye.
For those thinking of tying the knot, this mini-paradise, in the midst of one of the most memorable cities in the world, is also available for weddings, and other functions. I suspect, though, that this stunning location may well be booked up for some time to come. Still, no harm in checking, especially if you are thinking ahead. Just remember to book a world class photographer to record that special occasion.
