First, apologies for not having mentioned that I was off on my hols for three weeks. I did not say anything for a reason, but thinking about it now, my reason was possibly not a good enough excuse. Anyway , too late now.
My summer, as you will have guessed from the title, was spent in Tuscany. Not Chiantishire, but near the coast close to a small hilltop village called Ravi (you will find it on my Platial map, down near Elba Island, but on the mainland). Very nice places and we even managed to find a near deserted beach, which in August in Italy was something of a surprise, I can tell you! More about this in another post.

We, that is other half, little one and another family with a small child, all had a great time. Much wine and red meat was consumed and we chilled out big time.
Sorry, but it is not all that good to be back. The more I get to know Italy, the more I want to escape from Milan. Still, at least it was hot and sunny in the big M when we got back today. Apparently the weather in the city has been quite horrible with temperatures dropping to 14°C. Must have been a bit like the weather we came across the last time we went to the UK in August. Indeed, memories of dire weather must have subconsciously convinced me to prepare for the worst and pack fourteen pairs of socks. Whereas I only wore socks one two occasions. Oh well, you never know.
I’ll write some more on what we did and where we visited another time.
