My narcissistic son

You think I'm joking right? Well, I'm not. Our little one simply adores eyeing himself up in the enormous mirror which adorns our broom cupboard door. Not only that, but this very morning he actually went into his day nursery without making any fuss; for the first time since he started there last October.

The reason why? You may well ask. Well, he was clutching in his little hands the photo album which we had prepared for the nursery. All the children have one, and we were one of the last to get round to putting something together. Anyway, it appears that our little one was so keen to show photos of himself off to his peers that he totally forgot to cry, complain and throw a little tantrum.

I think we may change his name to 'Dorian' if he goes on like this. Heck knows what he'll be like by the time he is three.

Italian Politicians told to Respect Italy’s Flag!

I did something of a double take when I read that Italy’s president Napolitano had effectively told Italy’s politicians to pay more respect to Italy’s national flag.

And this is a special year for Italy too – the country is supposed to be celebrating 150 years of unity.

Not that much celebrating will be going on in Italy by the looks of things.
