An article in Italian newspaper Il Messaggero states that people caught for driving offences by police in Italy will soon be able to settle fines on the spot.
Yes, ‘bancomat’- ATM Switch type payment cards and credit cards are starting to be accepted by Italian traffic cops in the Italian regions of Lombardy, Emilia,the Veneto, Friuli and sections of Piedmont.
Though the scheme is only experimental at the moment, if it is a success it may well spread throughout Italy.
