  • Employment: Marianna Madia, born in 1980, graduated in 2004 with honours in Political Science with a major in political economy from Rome’s La Sapienza. Completed Ph.d in 2008. Arel (Agency for Research and Legislation) researcher. An employment specialist.
  • Justice: Alessia Morani
  • Europe and International Affairs: Federica Mogherini, born in Rome in 1973. A political science graduate. Married with two daughters. First elected to Italy’s Chamber of Deputies in 2008. Currently part of Foreign Affairs and Defence commission.  will manage European issues,
  • Legaility and Struggle Against the Mafia: Pina Picierno Sono nata a Santa Maria Capua Vetere, in provincia di Caserta, il 10 maggio 1981. Ho vissuto nella mia Teano fino agli anni dell’università, poi a Salerno, dove mi sono laureata in Scienze della Comunicazione. are also on the committee. Responsibilities unclear so far.
  • Infrastructure: Debora Seracchiani, born on November 10, 1970 in Rome, a lawyer and currently president of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy. Formerly an MEP and provincial councillor. Regarded, like Renzi, as being a “scrapper” who wanted to modernise the PD party. to deal with infrastructure,

The six gentlemen, including Renzi himself:

  • Local Government: Stefano Bonaccini, 46, born in Modena, has two daughters. He was a regional councillor and secretary of the PD in the Emilia-Romagna of Italy. Bonaccini has been in politics since the late 80s. He describes himself as big fan of literature and cinema. In his free time he plays five a side football. From 1999 to 2006 he was the councillor responsible for public works and the cultural heritage of Modena’s historic centre.
  • Organisation: Luca Lotti- age 31, born in Empoli, studied at the University of Florence where he graduated in Science and Administration of Government in 2006. He’s been a councillor in the comune of Montelupo since 2006. He was elected to Italy’s parliament in 2013 and sits in the Chamber of Deputies. He forms part of the Defence Commission
  • Education and Welfare: Davide Faraone, born in Palermo, Sicily, age 38. Formerly a councillor in Palermo, and part of the Sicilian Regional Assembly. Elected to Italy’s Chamber of Deputies in 2013.
  • Communications: Francesco Nicodemo, from Naples, born in 1978. A graduate in Classics.
  • Economy: Filippo Taddei, born in Bologna in 1976, Taddei is an economist who specialises in macroeconomics. After graduating with honours in Economics from the University of Bologna, he went on to complete an M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D in Economics at Columbia University. As well as being a research fellow at the Collegio Carlo Alberto and Taddei teaches at the School of Advanced International Studies of the Johns Hopkins University. The rest of Taddei’s CV is equally impressive.
  • Party Secretary and Culture: Mattero Renzi himself will be responsible for culture – he wants to keep this for himself as a sign of how important he regards culture for Italy.
