Builder’s bottom becomes trendy

I didn’t think I would ever see the day when builder’s bum would become fashionable, but it has happened, and it has happened with a vengeance here in Italy.   You see, the girls love to wear hip hugging jeans and this means that, more often than not and especially when a crop-top is involved, when they sit down or bend over, bottom cleavage is clearly evident.  One does one’s best to avert one’s eyes, but sometimes it is hard to avoid these sights falling into one’s line of sight.  Don’t mention tangas.

Some girls, generally younger not so slim ones, shoe-horn themselves into hip-hugging jeans and rolls of youthful puppy fat ooze over the top.  Not nice.   Real fashion victims, they are.

But, it is not only the girls, but also the boys who display builder’s bottom, but for another reason.  These saggy crotch jeans which are all the rage.  The things just obey the laws of gravity and drop even further, despite being almost constantly hitched up.  These jeans also drag underwear down with them.  Alas, when boys forget to hitch, guess what becomes visible?  Yep, that bottom cleavage.  Builder’s bottom for all to see, only this time this sight is not a result of the builders’ beer developed paunches pushing down on their jeans and exposing their derrières.   Nope, today builder’s bottom is a sign of high, or should that be ‘low’ fashion.

Almost all the designer labels offer either hip huggers for girls or drop crotches for the boys, so builders’ bottoms are everywhere here in this capital of high fashion, Milan.

Just call me ‘fuddy’.
