We celebrated our little one’s 4th birthday today in a place called Dixieland Cafe, which is a Tex-Mex restaurant in Piaza Aquilea, 12, here in Milan. Every so often, usually around some special day, this place holds a brunch and it’s a good place to hold a kid’s party because there are people there who take your kids away and entertain them. This means mum and dad can relax for a few moments which, as any parent will know, is something that is very welcome from time to time.
The children behaved very well and all sat at their own table to much chips, burgers, and chicken thingies, then later on the cake which we had had made was brought in and everyone sang ‘Happy birthday’ to our little treasure. His little eyes lit up and he stood on his chair to blow out the four candles.

Our little one had fun and I think everyone else had good time too, I did. I spent the time chatting, keeping an eye on our child, eating a little and taking a few photographs. It’s the third time we’ve been to this place and I like it more and more each time.
After getting to the place for midday, we got back at around 4 and chatted with some friends who came back home with us. Then after they had gone and our wee one had finaly crashed out, I finished off a translation I had been doing. I’ve just emailed it off and hope that it will be OK.
