Abruzzo Roofs

This is a photograph I took of roofs in Abruzzo, Italy when I was there on vacation a few years back.

After chatting about black and white images with Noel of About Abruzzo, I decided to dig out one of my own black and white images of Italy to pop on Italy Chronicles.

By the way, Noel is holding his first Abruzzo photo exhibition, which includes some black and white images of Italy.

See what you think.

Stop reading, start speaking

Stop translating in your head and start speaking Italian for real with the only audio course that prompt you to speak.

For those who like technical stuff, this photograph was taken in color and then converted to black and white using an Aperture plugin called Silver Efex Pro 2. In the background, though it’s not easy to see, is the sea.

Italy is a paradise for photographers and is a great place to visit to brush up those photography skills. You could even load up your Kindle or Kindle equipped smart phone or tablet with photography books. Read them while lazing about on the beach and then spend a day putting your new knowledge to good use.

Here are some photography books which I keep on my iPhone:
