The Top Five Italian Rogues on Italy Chronicles in 2014

December 24, 2014 by Alex Roe

Which Italian rogues attracted the most attention in 2014?

Here is the top five. In other words, the most roguish Italian rogues of 2014.

At number one was this article about over 100 Italian rogues – those caught up in Italy’s, ongoing, Rome mafia scandal: One Hundred Italian Rogues of the Week – the Corrupt Rome Mafia

In second place was an article about the roguish activities of Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone who stood accused of embezzlement: Italian Rogue of the Week – Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone

Third in Italy Chronicles gallery of Italian rogues was Mauro Floriani and his antics with schoolgirl prostitutes. Floriani is the husband of right wing politician and relative of Benito Mussolini, Alessandra: Italian Rogue of the Week – Mauro Floriani

Fourth came Italy’s current minister of health, Beatrice Lorenzin. This lady politician of questionable integrity was dishing out jobs to friends: Italian Rogue of the Week – Health Minister Beatrice Lorenzin

Last, but by no means least, in fifth place comes Claudio Descalzi, the boss of Italian energy giant Eni who faced allegations of bribery: Italian Rogue of the Week – Claudio Descalzi

Choosing Italian rogues for this ‘feature‘ has never been too difficult. Indeed, often one is spoilt for choice and there are few signs that this rogues gallery will have any problems growing in 2015, alas.

Italy, it seems, has no shortage of rogues whatsoever.
