Everybody seems to love Apple‘s stylish iPhone series. I have an iPhone 4 and it’s a handy device to have around. Though it would be handier if the battery life were better.
Well maybe the imminent iPhone 4s will have a battery which will finally allow it’s users to leave their chargers at home. Many will hope so.
I do know of people here in Italy who just cannot live without their iPhones and put up with the battery life issue quite happily. If the iPhone 4s does indeed have a decent battery, quite a number of Italian iPhone 3 and iPhone 3GS owners may well consider an upgrade.
Apple has stated that the iPhone 4s will hit Apple stores in the US on the 21st October, 2011.
An Italian web site, called iPhone 4s, believes that Apples new iPhone may end up in Italy’s stores in very late October.
iPhone 4s for Xmas

As we all know, Christmas is a coming and a brand spanking new iPhone 5 would make an impressive Christmas present. Apple will be well aware of this too, no doubt, so it is likely that Italians will find the iPhone 4s in shops on the run up to Christmas.
The Number of iPhones in Italy
Back in mid 2009, the web site iPhone Italia estimated that there were between 500,000 and 800,000 iPhones in Italy. The numbers may well have passed the million mark. Wonder the streets of wealthy Milan, where I live, and you will spot plenty of iPhones. Apple’s technological jewel is a status item and fashion accessory for many Italians.
Italy’s iPhones Popular with Foreigners
The iPhones sold in Italy are also popular with foreigners seeing as they are often sold “unlocked”, which means they are not electronically tied to a mobile phone operator.
There still seems to be a lot of interest on the availability of iPhones in Italy, especially from the US, Russia and the UK. My iPhone Availability in Italy for iPhone Hunters post continues to attract visitors, over 11,500 of them so far in 2011.
If Apple does not release the iPhone 4s in Italy before Christmas, it will lose out.
