Ducati Streetfighter a Hit with MCN
I don’t think I’ve written about Italian motorbikes before. This is a little strange as I was a huge fan of motorbikes and I may not have ever made it to Italy if I’d actually gone and bought the Triumph Speed Triple I’d been eyeing up. I didn’t, so here I am in Milan. Italy […]
Arcimboldo in Milan
If you’ve never seen the amazing work of the Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo (1527-1593), now is your chance. At Milan’s Palazzo Reale right smack in the centre of Milan, Italy, an Arcimboldo exhibition is now on, and will be on until 22 May 2011. I would thoroughly recommend giving this exhibition a visit as Arcimboldo‘s […]

After some moments of doubt caused by Italy’s ever argumentative politicians, this Thursday March 17th has been declared a national holiday in celebration of 150 years of Italian unity. In terms of celebrating Italy’s 150th birthday, Venice is being something of a party pooper, and Naples does not seem to want to celebrate its Italianess […]
San Ginesio’s Battle – A Colourful Medieval Pageant in Italy
Deep down in the Le Marche region of Italy there is, I am reliably informed, a fabulous bi-annual battle re-enactment which takes place in a lovely hilltop Italian town called San Ginesio.

Oh, Go On – Send Me Press Releases
Well, why not? If you have anything to do with something Italian, or related to Italy, an event for example, then do let me know, and I’ll write a post about it. I’m especially interested in events that are a little different and original, but I’ll consider anything anyone is kind enough to send me. […]
The weekend before last, while I was home alone dog sitting, a friend of mine came up from Genova. He stayed for a couple of days, and while he was here we went for a bit of a wander down towards Milan’s impressive castle. I surprise awaited us.
