Even though I’m no spring chicken at 43, it’s still nice to get the nod of approval from my mum and dad, so many thanks to them! They seem to think I should have a go at selling my services as a sort of Italy correspondent or ‘stringer’, as I believe the expression goes – does it not Joe! I admit to being a little nervous as to what my parents would make of my blogging efforts, seeing as both are sticklers for good grammar and all that. And, my father was not too keen on the fact that I start the odd sentence or two with the dreaded ‘and’. Naughty me! Won’t stop me though, as you may have noticed!
