It looks as though our son’s problem eye is going to become a problem once again. This could mean a least a week in hospital and yet more antibiotics for Marty.

I noticed that his eye seemed a little swollen when I picked him up from school, but I did not say anything to my other half. Alas, she noticed too, so I now know I was not being paranoid.

Stop reading, start speaking

Stop translating in your head and start speaking Italian for real with the only audio course that prompt you to speak.

We’ve nose washed, aerosolled, eye-dropped and antibioticed the little chap tonight, in the hope that we can nip the problem in the bud.

I’m afraid we’ll be off to hospital again tomorrow morning, but I really do hope not. The hospital sessions are a real stress and they start to get to you after a while, the worry and the disruption, it can be too much.

This is a side of parenthood I would not wish upon anybody.
