Luciano Pavarotti

As you might imagine, Pavarotti‘s sad demise was all over the news, and even though his funeral was not a state affair, it was televised so it might as well have been.   The man was a superstar in Italy, and all round the world.  A real opera star, in every sense.

Now, I’m not a great opera fan, but Pavarotti did quite a lot for this form of music.  While purists may grumble that he popularised opera, I hope others might say that he made opera a little more accessible to a wider audience.  That’s a good thing to do in my humble opinion, especially in this rather too materialistic old world.

Stop translating in your head and start speaking Italian for real with the only audio course that prompt you to speak.

Even I have to admit that his voice was both powerful and supercharged with emotion.

Bye Mr Pavarotti.
