New Italo-British rap-rock band Rap.Pvblica cites its influences as being Rage Against the Machine plus national and international politics. This would explain tracks with names like Dittatura Democratica – Democratic Dictatorship, and Nuovo Ordine Mondiale – New World Order. Protest rap? Sure sounds like it!
Rap.Pvblica’s, read ‘ra-pub-lica’, original sounding music is an edgy, gritty, fusion of rock and rap which includes occasional moments of sweet melodic sanity.
Being a fan of rock and someone who secretly likes some rap too, Rap.Pvblica’s sound caught, attracted, and held the attention of my ear, well, both of them. Maybe it’ll tempt your ears too, or else you’ll run away screaming. Whatever, have a listen. You never know, you might like them.
If you know some Italian, you should be able to follow at least some of the lyrics.

Long live rap and roll? These guys could have a sparkling, if rather angry, edgy musical future, one suspects. Great sound.
