Italian Music Feature – Le Origini della Specie

While trawling around the Italian corners of the wonderful world wide web, I came across Italian band Le Origini della Specie. I liked their melodic electro-rocky funky sound and thought you might too.

Le Origini della Specie are: Claudio Pilloni who does the lead vocals, Denis Martintoni on bass, Aldo Biasi on guitar, and last but by no means least, Federico Bergamo on drums. The band comes from the Trentino area of Italy, has done work for the local tourist board and made it onto the radio in Italy too. In 2013, Le Origini della Specie made it to the final of Rome’s TourMusicFest.

Right, now you know a little about Le Origini della Specie, you’ll probably be curious to hear what they sound like, so here is lots of their music.

First up, here’s:

Un Attimo di Eternità

Un attimo is a moment in English, just in case you were wondering.

And here, with attractive Miss Trentino Alto Adige 2012 Silvia Paoli, is:

If you liked those, then you might like the band’s Un attimo di eternità album, which, via Soundcloud, can be heard here:

For reasons unknown, the album no longer appears to be available on either iTunes or Amazon.

This group should be big, like its sound, doesn’t seem to be, alas.

The band’s website is here: Le Origini della Specie from which you may discover, if your Italian is up to it, that their next performance is on June 21st during the all night Feste Vigiliane in Trento. Le Origini della Specie will be playing in the zona MUSE area.

Guess Where in Italy? Part 2

Here’s another image of Italy. This time it’s not a landscape as in part 1, but a stunning mosaic. How well do you know Italy? Any idea where this can be found?
