Nope? Well, it is tipping it down here in not so sunny Milan today. Just as well really, it hardly ever seems to rain here these days. In fact, oddly enough the north of Italy has been suffering from a water shortage, whereas the normally drier south seems to have plenty of H2O. When I first came to Italy, northern Italy, I noticed that April was the rainy month. This year however, April was as dry as June. Despite the current deluge, the sunny weather is forecast to be back very shortly.

It’s the total opposite of the UK; well, the UK I used to know; in that there were wet periods which were interrupted by a few sunny hours. In Italy we get sun followed by the odd rainy day. Which do I prefer? The Italian way – that’s why I’m here. When it’s sunny, I feel bright. When it’s dull, I feel, er, dull.
