Il Cedro Bed and Breakfast

Il Cedro
Il Cedro

The recently renovated Il Cedro bed and breakfast is located in the heart of Catanzaro and is comfortably situated in a garden of citrus trees and fruit.

A vacation in picturesque Calabria is an opportunity to discover a quiet, historic part of the country. In addition to exploring the dramatic landscape of the southern Ionian Coast, you can peruse boutiques in the downtown Catanzaro shopping district, relax on the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea, enjoy a day skiing in the nearby Sila Mountains, and dine on homemade Calabrese specialities.

Il Cedro Bed and Breakfast

Cherrye from Texas and Peppe.

Cherrye speaks very highly of the Sila Mountain area which is down near Catanzaro and only 40 minutes or so away from Il Cedro, and she thinks that Villaggio Mancuso is a must visit place!   She says that the Sila Mountains are beautiful and very much like their well known bigger cousins the Alps up in north Italy.

Oh, and you can also go skiing, and you will find small but lovely and peaceful ski resorts in this area.  Probably not a bad area for those who wish to learn to ski or snowboard, or even kite ski in your own time on uncrowded pistes!

Free Bottle of Prosecco!

If you book accommodation at Il Cedro for more than two nights, and mention Blog from Italy at the time of booking, and you will receive a free bottle of Prosecco wine when you arrive! Just the thing for getting that holiday off to a good start!

Can You Guess Who this Famous Italian is?

Quiz: Guess the Italian – Part 2

The second in this series of quiz posts featuring cut down and distorted images of famous Italians for you to guess.

This Guess the Italian Quiz is just for fun and to see what people who are not Italian know about Italians. While Italians are welcome to have a go, I’d prefer it if they gave those who are not Italian a chance to guess.

Thanks Italians!
