Getting confused

Stop reading, start speaking

Stop translating in your head and start speaking Italian for real with the only audio course that prompt you to speak.

I’ve been preparing some material on sentence composition and managed to confuse myself after trying to understand the difference between adjuncts and adverbials.  Adverbials can be adjuncts apparently, but not always.  Then there is presenting all these nuggets of grammatical knowledge to students in a manner which will actually improve their written (and spoken) English in an effective and, preferably, non-confusing manner.  Fun, fun, fun.
I shall have to test this material thoroughly and monitor its long term benefits.  All I need are a few willing victims, sorry, er, guinea pigs.

Italian Indie Music – The Band Avvolte

Being an, oldish rocker, I like a little rousing rock music from time to time. Not much has been written about the Italian indie scene on BlogfromItaly.com recently after Icelandic indie music expert Guðjón Ingi Sigurðarson left Italy to return to his homeland.

So, off I went onto the Italian web to track down something which was, er, music to my ears, and within a few Google searches, I’d found some fresh Italian brewed indie music for you to have a listen to.

The Italian indie band I tracked down; I think that is almost a pun; is called Avvolte and here are two tracks of theirs.
