Explore the Stunning Studios of the Artisans of Florence this Weekend

Lost in Florence Open Studio Weekend

If you’ve ever wanted to take an up close and personal look at the work of Italy’s world renown artisans, then you’ll be in for a treat if you are in Florence this coming weekend. It’s the Lost in Florence Open Studio Weekend.

Especially for you, Nardia Plumridge of the Lost in Florence website has helped open doors to the studios of a dozen of Florence’s top artisans. Not all of these studios are always open to the public, so expect to see what few have ever laid eyes on before.

While wondering the streets of this famed Tuscan city in search of the artisans’ studios, you will come across secret courtyards and old convents so you will end up seeing Florence in a different, though even more beautiful, new light. You’ll see ceramics, jewellery, and experience the scent of the finest Florentine perfumes, among other things. You may, of course, also end up with some interesting Christmas present inspiration too.

Stop reading, start speaking

Stop translating in your head and start speaking Italian for real with the only audio course that prompt you to speak.

To help you find and explore these artisanal studios, Lost in Florence has created a special map which you can download here: Lost In Florence Open Studio Weekend Map

As well as the locations of the studios on the map, you’ll also find a series of Pitstops – places where you can grab and espresso or a more substantial bite to eat. You could even round off your exploration with an evening aperitivo at one of the pitstop venues.

The artisan’s studios will be open from 12pm until 6pm on October the 18 and 19, 2014.

Enjoy your exploration!
