End of the day

It's good when you feel happy about a day's work, and I feel good. I managed to get to grips with the main aspects of what I'm working on – it's a one day course, but I'm not saying any more at the moment.

My personal brainstorming paid off and I resolved some issues, altered my overall approach and, generally moved things in what I believe to be a good direction. The course should meet it's objectives, although there are certain unknowns which will need to be converted into 'knows' to ensure a high level of success. But, I've done it before, more than once, so I know I can do it again.

Stop reading, start speaking

Stop translating in your head and start speaking Italian for real with the only audio course that prompt you to speak.

Yes, I feel confident. I can be amazingly productive when I'm tucked away on my own with nothing to disturb or interrupt me. I shall sleep well tonight – and I'm keen to carry on tomorrow, although, seeing as it's the weekend and all that, I'll go at I nice and relaxed pace.

Working for yourself is tough at times, but, for someone like myself, it really is the only way to go. I love the freedom it gives you and the satisfaction.

Does Italy Need another Dictator?

Before you and my Italian readers throw their hands up in horror at the thought of another dictator taking power in Italy, I don’t mean another Mussolini, more of a Lee Kuan Yew. ‘A Lee Kuan who?’, you might be asking yourselves.

Italy Doesn’t Give a Damn about Tourists

Things are boiling away over in the comments on my post on Speeding and other traffic fines in Italy as a result of yet more motorists being caught out by the Pisa ZTL honey trap.

The Guardian online has also written about this issue, and in response to an email I sent the newspaper, is looking into the matter. But Italy does not care.
