Drone Footage of Italy – Amazing Friuli Venezia Giulia

I’m quite a fan of drone footage. I love the perspective drones offer. Then there’s the lazy way in which these craft drift across landscapes. Hence this new Drone Footage of Italy series. It’ll feature the best drone footage I can unearth.

To kick this new series off, here are two drone shot videos of the not too well known Friuli Venezia Giulia region of Italy. Many thanks to Lorenzo Zanette for pointing these out to me via Twitter.

Stop reading, start speaking

Stop translating in your head and start speaking Italian for real with the only audio course that prompt you to speak.

Hope you liked those. Thought they were both spectacular personally and such panoramas may have one booking a break to this particular Italian region in the not so distant future. We’ll, this Italy fan and resident hopes so. Plenty of places to visit in Friuli Venezia Giulia shown.

This region of Italy has pretty much everything – sea, mountains, countryside, castles and much more – so it’s an all year round destination. Then there’s the food and the wine not to mention the fact that it’s not too far from fascinating Venice, either.

By the way, Italian prosecco wine is produced in this region which us yet another pretty good excuse to pay Friuli Venezia Giulia a visit.

Next in this Drone Footage of Italy series will be a video of Umbria that features a fascinating bridge. Said bridge may not have been captured on film before or so the video’s makers told me.

You can find out more about Friuli Venezia Giulia here.

That said girl was one of the contestants from that most vacuous of shows in which a group of air heads are kept in a vacuum for a certain length of time is not much of a surprise.

Silvio Berlusconi

Berlusconi’s Back and Blaming the Left

OK, so he never really went away, although it looked as if his government was about to crumble for a few weeks or so. Then he managed to win a couple of confidence votes in Italy’s upper and lower houses of parliament, and came back with a vengeance, even if the Berlusconi government majority is looking flimsy, at least in Italy’s lower house.
