Our little darling has a swollen eye again. Only, this time there is no obvious cause – no cold, no congestion, no nothing. He is even down by the sea, where the air is better. I have been left here in Milan to have a little baby free time and to catch up on work (Baby is ill so often, that I'm always finding myself even further behind with stuff). Free time is becoming history.
I do hope baby does not end up in hospital again. This is no fun at all. Oh, I know that you often have to put up with these things, but it doesn't half ruin your life when you think about it. Life before baby was much easier.
I'm feeling negative.

Christian,
Paid up! Look at the Marty entry in the blog.
By the way, your little one’s sleeping probs could be down to wind. Make sure he burps after having a feed. Otherwise, as others have pointed out, he is very new to this world and will need a little time to ‘make himself at home’. It gets easier after the first two or three months or so. At the mo he needs 2 hour feeds, which is heavy on all involved. Hang on in there!
All the best from me.
PS your little one is cute and he will get even cuter and more, er, interactive as time goes by. They are a little like slugs at first it has to be said, but they change rapidly. You will see my friend!

Alex,
As a new dad I now definitely know the helpless feeling you get when you think your baby is sick. Right now my wife and I are in that ‘paranoia’ stage where every sneeze or cough could be something serious for our little one. I know your baby will be okay. Best wishes from your italian friend in the states.

p.s As per our agreement, you promised to post a picture of your little one. Pay up!
