Unusual title, I know.  Did you know that 5500k refers to the Kelvin colour temperature which matches, more or less, day light?  Maybe not, unless you are a photographer.

Stop reading, start speaking

Stop translating in your head and start speaking Italian for real with the only audio course that prompt you to speak.

Well, because I want to start a little photographic project, I set out to find special 5500k florescent bulbs here in sunny and hot Milan.  No joy.  There are 4000k bulbs and there are 6400k bulbs, but not 5500k ones.  In fact the shopkeepers in the two shops I visited and actually asked about said bulbs looked at me rather oddly.  One claimed that such bulbs do not exist.  He is obviously not an Internet user or a photographer.

I shall continue to hunt and, if I am unsuccessful, I shall resort to good old E-bay – which has the things, albeit at a high price and via Germany….

Facebook remains as popular as ever here in Italy, much to the chagrin of Italy’s powers that be. Hence indirect an attempt to steer Italians away from social networking sites, such as Facebook.
