This Would be Useful

Well, I’d find it handy. What I’d like my email client to do would be to automatically, when requested, recognise dates and times and add them to whatever calendar system I’m using. I’m always receiving emails with this sort of information.  I know that there is a plugin thing for Outlook, but I use Thunderbird, and so far I have not found a system that can do this.

Such a system would save quite a bit of time for many people, I suspect.

The Mail client that comes with 10.5 Leopard has this option built in. Do you use a Mac?

    Hi Lori,

Thanks for dropping in. And very interesting to hear that this feature does indeed exist.

The only trouble is that I don’t have a Mac. Boo hoo.

Think I know which operating system my next laptop will be running now – thanks to you!

    Cheers,

    Alex

Here is a little more info for the Mail client

You really need to find an Apple store and check out the new Macs and laptops!

Thanks for the link Lori – I checked it out, and I really would love this functionality. Odd that Mac has it, but business oriented Windows does not….

Once I’m in the market for a new pc – I’ll be visiting Apple stores – of that, you can be sure!

    All the best,

    Alex
