As you say, your own instincts can still tell you a lot, even if the world is virtual and not real.

? I’m sorry, if you found this post negative and depressing, I guess being half-accused of being a scammer left me feeling both negative and depressed, although I’d not really intend to come across in this way.

And I agree, making up a life is not a good reason for blogging, even though I am pretty sure that some do do this. But, that’s the advantage (and potential danger) of blogs and the web, they allow you to do pretty much what you like. And as long as you are doing no harm, then that is fine, although I’d rather hear about real rather than imaginary experiences.

I shall endeavour not to be negative and depressing again – and thanks for the reaction, and letting me know how it made you, and others feel.

I’ve met some great friends from online, so it really depends on the situation. Usually if you are observant, you can sense if the person/blogger/alien is being relatively honest or not.

What’s the point of blogging if you’ll make up life that doesn’t exist? It’s not fun and that’s pathetic…
