Yep, the other half has finally come to terms with reality and accepted that the only way to get decent TV is to pay for it.
Last Sunday an order for a Sky package was made via the online Fastweb system. The ordering process is all very hi-tech, or so it seem.
Today is Saturday, nearly a week after the hi-tech order was made. Do we have Sky? Well, sort of. We can see CNN and Cartoon Network, and that is it.
I suppose one could say that the delivery of the service is not quite up to the speed with which it can be ordered.
Oh well, it will be good when it gets here. Between you and me though, I much prefer Internet to TV. Sky or no Sky.

Congratulions… I think!
I managed to fight the introduction of tv into our happy home for many years, but recently lost the battle to Sky. Life was certainly richer b.S. (before Sky) – we actually did things like read books and make music! Now the tv gets turned on in time for the evening news and somehow manages to stay on until it’s fall asleep time.
At least Sky gives us a few options over the usualy Rai and Mediaset tripe. How many big-boobed valette can a person be exposed to before going completely insane? Sky gives us South Park in uncensored English! And we can watch news on Al Jazeera and finally get a view point that’s not representative of the American Military-Industrial Media Compound! WooHOOOO!!!
Now that the blush is off the satellite dish, I’m happy to report that the one-eyed monster is off more and more of the time, and the books and instruments have taken back their rightful place.
