Didn't think I was being pretentious about Naples, but I'll look again and see what I can do about it. I did not intend to be pretentious.I do mention in the article that Roccaraso is in Abruzzo, and I do know that Abruzzo is a lovely region, I think I say this too - but I have not been there. Anyway, the article is not really about Abruzzo, it is about Roccaraso, which happens to be in the Abruzzo region.I don't think the hotel owners, shop owners and ski resort operators would object too much to my promoting part of the Abruzzo region, even if I am a mere 'tourist'.Anyway, it is always interesting to hear other peoples points of view.Best regards,Alex - the tourist (sometimes)

Hi Sam,

Thanks for the feedback. Abruzzo is the most beautiful place in the world and it does not need "tourists" like you to 'promote' it.

Why don’t you learn and enjoy Abruzzo rather than being pretentious about Naples which is not even of the region? I learnt just before I came over to Italy, many moons ago, but I never really got any good.If I ever find the time, I shall find a nice simple piste, take a few lessons and just spend some time practising.Skiing is something I always wanted to learn to do, and I used to be fit enough to do it. Not now though, I fear.I must write about my 'black run' escapade sometime....Alex

Well, it may be stretching it a little for me to claim that I can ski, Jan.
