Eight articles published over a two month period – published on a day (and at a time) you decide – on a first come, first serve basis.

• Cost: €649 + 21% IVA (Italian VAT) – if applicable. Gold Package posts will remain published for the life of this site.

4. Platinum package:

Terms and Conditions of the Rental Service

Payment

Half of the payment will be made in advance via PayPal or wire transfer (fees may be applicable).

The remaining half of the package fee will become due at the end of the article posting period.  In the event of non-payment, all articles published will be removed.

Publishing Deadline

Posts and images must be sent at least a week before the intended publishing date.  Articles sent less than 7 days prior to publishing date may not be published at the time or on the date desired.

Note too that all articles must be submitted within the periods specified in the package details set out above.

Fair Use

Posts must not criticise others who have posted content here, nor must they compare one service, product or business to another.

Post subjects which are racist, offensive, incite hate or are personal attacks will not be published.  This is a family friendly site, so the promotion of adult or sex services is not permitted.

Originality

Do not write about something someone else has already written about here on ItalyChronicles.com – unless you have a totally different or complimentary angle.  Basically, avoid duplicating content.

Do not submit articles which have already been published on other web sites or articles which are extremely similar to content found on other websites (spinning).

You must own the copyright or have permission to use the content of and any images used within the articles you or your organisation publish here on ItalyChronicles.com.

Ownership of Content

At the end of the period, posts will become the property of ItalyChronicles .com, but will remain published for as long as this site exists.  This means you will continue to benefit from their presence on the web for many years to come.

If you no longer wish your posts to appear on ItalyChronicles.com for whatever reason after your package period has ended, then send us an email and one or all of your posts will be removed (they will be ‘de-published’ and retained for 3 months – if within three months you change your mind, let us know and the articles will be published once more.).  Alternatively, you could update your articles.

Articles may be updated at any time – but updating will be subject to an updating fee equal to half of the initial individual article cost which depends on the package you choose.

Quality Control

Prior to publishing on ItalyChronicles.com, all posts will be subject to the approval of Alex Roe – the owner/publisher of ItalyChronicles.com or someone nominated by Alex Roe.

Alex Roe, the publisher of ItalyChronicles.com reserves the exclusive right to decide to publish or not to publish any and all articles submitted by users of these packages.  If an article(s) is rejected, an explanation will be given and a new article(s) may be submitted – however the desired publishing date and time may not be respected.

This quality control measure will ensure that content quality remains high and this will ensure content is and becomes more visible.

Post Guidelines

Important: In your articles, stress the benefits your proposals offer to potential customers.  Readers are not interested in your company – but they are interested in the benefits your product or service offers them.

Articles must be in English and at least 350 words in length.  The maximum length of articles is around 1,500 words, but note that excessively long articles do not always work too well on the web.  Aim to write articles which are around 500 words in length.

For maximum visibility please submit a 160 character or less post description, plus 8 keywords.  Note: “Italy travel” counts as two keywords.  An SEO optimised key word rich supplementary article title is recommended.  This should be around 60 characters in length.

Images: At least one and up to four web optimized photographs may be incorporated into posts ( Featured image – width 590 pixels by 250 pixels high. Large – width 485 pixels, medium height around 330 pixels and images of 250×250 pixels) – you must have the right to use these photographs or have obtained the right.  If complaints from copyright holders are received regarding images used in posts, the image or images in question will be removed until any dispute has been resolved – replacement images may be supplied.  Tip: look for images with Creative Commons Attribution Licences on places like Wikipedia or Flickr or use services like ShutterStock.

Writing quality must be high – Alex Roe, the owner and publisher of ItalyChronicles.com, will personally judge whether writing quality is high enough and his decision is final.

Posts must be informative and original – they must not have appeared on any other websites in English.  Alex Roe will edit and correct articles upon request – but for an additional fee.  Minor corrections (see definition below) will not count as an article update and no fee will be charged.

Minor corrections include misspellings, minor grammatical errors and errors in addresses, telephone numbers or URLs.  A change of address may not count, at Alex Roe’s sole discretion, as an post update and may not incur an additional fee.

Use of an openly marketing or advertising style of writing is not permissible – no advertising-type claims must be made. While you may write directly about your product or service, you must aim to provide information which is useful and of benefit to the readers of this web site.  Posts which do not meet this criteria will be rejected.

Tip: Reviews by independent writers of products or services are a good way to tell the world about your company and what it offers.

Excessive repetition of the same words or groups of words for SEO/SEM purposes is not acceptable.  Machine writing is easy to spot and examples will not be published.

You may submit up to three articles for approval – but only one will be published on the date you specify.

Once an article has been published, refunds will not be given.

Links
You may include up to six links in each post – but please follow these guidelines:

• Two links to your own business or a related website.

• Two links to previous posts or references or articles on other websites you want to comment on or refer to. Linking to related posts is good for search engine visibility.

• Two additional links to sources of further information or reference sources.

Note that links crediting image sources do not count towards the six links mentioned here.

Some examples of subjects you can write about:

• An event close to your hotel or restaurant.

• A tour offered by your company.

• News about your company’s activities or a new Italy-related product or service.

• News about Italy which is related to your business.

• Information on a special offer.

• A new product or service offered by a company based in Italy.

Categories

Articles published as part of media packages will be placed in an appropriate category – which can be selected by clients – and the tag ‘Sponsored-Feature’ will be added.

What you cannot write:
Send ups and unsubstantiated claims: such as, “Naples is the best city in Italy.” – unless you have evidence this is true.

A question you may have: Why all these restrictions?

The answer: To maintain the experience of readers of this site who expect informative, well-written and well-researched content and to ensure ItalyChronicles.com’s visibility continues to grow.  The success of this site will contribute towards the success of your business.

ItalyChronicles.com readers see though obvious attempts at marketing in a few seconds – and will read no further, and, worse still, will go elsewhere – probably thinking your company or service is not worth further consideration.

The purpose of these posts is not to ‘fool’ search engines into believing your content is valid – the purpose is to create good quality informative valid content which will encourage visitors to visit your web site, and examine your product or service in greater detail.

Well written content will engage ItalyChronicles.com readers and encourage them to investigate your company further.
