I could be wrong though. Maybe this guy is just hellishly busy - but then this is Italy...Docking the 13th (or 14th and sometimes 15th) salary payment sounds like a very good idea. The unions would hate it though. Why don't you write to Renato Brunetta? - He appears to be open to ideas from outside of Italy.Hope it's sunny in your neck of the Italian woods.All the best,Alex Hi Judith,

I have even left letters in Italian at his desk explaining our situation and asking for an appointment. I do have powerful friends and it has not helped. He simply is never in his office and never responds. I think that only people with perfect attendance (allowing X no. of sick days) and efficiency ratings should get the 13th paycheck of Christmas fame.
