Italy Chronicles Hiccups

An update on why Italy Chronicles is not being updated. This site, blog, call it what you will, has been suffering, if that is the right word, from too much popularity.

Web traffic is a double edged sword – the more you get, the better, but the more you get, the more potential problems arise.

The cure is a boosted server setup which comes, as do all good things, at a price. My ace web hosting people, Synthesis, are on the job (Thanks Derick) & Italy Chronicles will soon be sitting on a shiny new dedicated, virtual, I think, server. This will mean the site should not fall over again for a good while and will thus be headache-free. It also means more writers will be able to contribute and help this site continue to grow.

Thanks for your patience, for visiting, and for helping this site to continue to grow.

Kind regards,

Alex Roe – Publisher and writer of Italy Chronicles.

The Guardian online has also written about this issue, and in response to an email I sent the newspaper, is looking into the matter. But Italy does not care.
