You have written exactly what we think about Italy. We love it here but there is a dark side. We live in Basilicata, have a holiday home, check out the web site and have been made to feel very welcome by everyone. The food is delicious, the people friendly, the spring, summer and autumn weather is very pleasant. The tv is rubbish, as you say the post is snail mail if at all and it takes tantrums to get anything done! Our guests also love it here when they come over. The peace and quiet of the country side and all the above. As for the schooling, my son went to Italian school to learn the language and make friends, then did the English curriculum on internet school. He is just about to take his GCSE exams. Best wishes, look forward to reading your blogs in future. Pauline

Hi Alex,
Just been browsing t’internet and found your blog. The interior is gorgeous! Wish I had known about it when I was visiting the Egyptian Museum earlier this year; it is just around the corner.
