Further to my previous post…

…my, Italian, other half has clarified the magistrates versus politicians thing, I am, almost, pleased to say.

Apparently, the non-political magistrates are, in reality, political. This means that there are those who like Mr B who go after Mr Prodi’s cronies, and then there are those who think Prodi’s the bees knees and thus ‘investigate’ Berlusco’s boys.

Okay … so kind of like the Flanders/Wallonian divide?

    Nonsensical and yet a reality?

I’m beginning to think that my colonial ancestors knew what they were doing when they fled to New Zealand … leaving Europe and its complications far behind them.

  2. My people will say”story long” meaning there’s more ahead. As an African living in Italy for the past 15yrs,there’s no shock in what is happening here.If it’s not A today,it’ll be B tomorrow and we are waiting for more. This is just a continuation of a juxtaposed society, where whoever, whenever and however is allowed to do whatever, before the battle begins.I call it “a bigger Africa” otherwise known as chaos!!!

    Hi Felix,

Thanks for dropping in and for your comment.

Very interesting to hear from an African in Italy. You sound as though you already have some experience of countries with odd governments…

As for referring to Italy as ‘a bigger Africa’, wonderful!

    Gege’

Yes, I know it’s all politics here, but I still find it frustrating nonetheless.

    Regards to both of you,

    Alex
