If you want to search for info about gyms in Milan by using Google, try searching for 'palestre, Milano' and wade through the (mainly Italian) results. The big names here, although I know very little about this, are Francesco Conti, American Contourella and Sportsman Club. You could also try the 'Pagine Gialle' or yellow pages for yet more info: http://www.paginegialle.it/pg/cgi/pgsearch.cgi?btt=1&ts=1&l=1&cb=0&ind=&nc=&x=0&y=0&qs=palestra&dv=milanoHope that helps.Happy hunting!Alex

Hi Jaws,

Check out these sites:

http://www.palestre.milano.it/index.php
http://www.palestremilano.com/index.htm

They are in Italian, but you should be able to work it out;-) Plenty of numbers and addresses.

By the way, ‘gym’ is ‘palestra’ in Italian or ‘palestre’ if you want the plural – gyms. The fruit cakes are all made the same way, as sort of sweet pastry base filled with a layer of vanilla custard, upon which the fruit are placed. Sometimes the fruit is covered with a sweet gelatine based glaze, which is transparent. The chocolate cake was about 12" in diameter and was several layers of sponge with a chocolate ceam beneath each layer.David, they were very very good, but not cheap!

Hi Jan, the fruit cake/tart was about 18 inches I guess, it was big and delicious too.
