Owners
Michael and Diana Strinati Baur gave it all up to follow their dream. Not that it was always easy, or always fun. The Baur B&B has been up and running three years now and Michael and Diana cannot imagine a better way to live!
Having bought an abandoned farm in 2003 and started renovating it, slowly but surely, Michael and Diana are finishing phase after phase, and guests are returning year after year to see the changes and improvements that Michael and Diana Strinati Baur are making. “It has been a lot of work, but has been really gratifying.”, in the words of the owners.
German Michael and American Diana speak English, German and Italian.
Diana Strinati Baur – Artist
Diana took a beginner’s course in clay and ceramics at a professional a school called the Keramik Art Studio in Hamburg, Germany where she ended up staying for five years, completing several speciality areas — object building, throwing on the wheel, glaze chemistry and development, scale and proportion. The courses there led to her opening a ceramic studio in Hamburg in 2000, and she is continuing that tradition with a fully equiped pottery studio here at the B&B. Indeed, examples of Diana’s work can be found embellishing the Baur B&B.
Go and visit them in beautiful, undiscovered Piemonte and find out why so many keep coming back to the best kept secret in Italy. The Baur’s will also let you cook for them, in a spacious well equipped kitchen! Read more over on their well presented web site: Cooking at the B&B
